Waza FC is moving towards establishing a professional team. We are developing a greater affiliation and feeder system with the Border Stars Professional soccer team which competes in the Canadian Professional Soccer League (CAPS). We had 12 players from the Waza FC Men’s team playing this past season with the Border Stars which lost in the CAPS Semi Finals. The Club is also researching the current professional leagues in the US to establish the head stone of its already advancing developmental soccer system. We are launching a Waza FC semi-professional indoor team which will be competing in the PASL with a home facility being Total Soccer, in Novi Michigan. The PASL is the largest national indoor/arena soccer league in the country. It has 41 teams; eight divisions in the United States, one division in Canada, and two divisions in Mexico. The top two teams of the Great Lakes Division will playoff for a berth into the regional Championships against the winner of the Midwest Division. Our Great Lakes Division consists of FC Indiana, South Bend Indiana, Cleveland Pride, Cleveland Ohio, Quantam FC & Waza FC. Waza FC Men’s PASL has signed 13 former professional players and 4 local collegiate standouts. The players bring a flavor of International professional play from Argentina, Albania, Brazil, Canada, Italy, Malta, Romania, Serbia, Germany & the USA. Thirteen of the players are native to Michigan while the remaining are adopted Michiganders who have brought their international professional play here contributing to the development of youth soccer at the local levels. Our Waza FC players were former players at Schoolcraft College, Macomb College, Madonna University, Western Michigan University, Oakland University, University of Detroit Mercy and Eastern Michigan University. Tickets are $5 for Adults & $3 for Youth (17 and under). The games will be a fun and entertaining experience for the entire family with live drumming and dancing. “COME SEE THE WORLD PLAY IN YOUR BACKYARD” Support our local college and professional players, attend the games & help us bring home the Championship. Lets create an exciting atmosphere of high level soccer with international flavor & fun
