About Waza FC

History

What started as a few teams in 1999 has now ballooned into a high profile, widely recognized soccer club of 1,000 players and over 60 teams. Waza FC is made up of 20 youth teams in Livonia (Waza FC West), 32 youth teams in Rochester (Waza FC East) and 6 adult teams. There are 100's of players in Waza FC’s highly acclaimed developmental training program for players aged 3-9.

Why Play for Waza FC?

In real estate, it is all about location, location, location.  In soccer, it is all about training, training, training.  Waza means “technique” in Japanese and in Waza FC there is a strong focus on skills/technique training.   However, another key advantage that the experience-rich Waza FC faculty brings to the club is an emphasis on player development.

Waza FC coaches and trainers are all players; they know the game and can teach it.  Many of these coaches continue to play in a professional indoor 6v6 league called Premier Arena Soccer League (PASL).  This provides a fantastic opportunity for youth players in the club to see high-level soccer “up close and personal.”

The superior training of Waza FC is showing itself in the many achievements of our youth teams whose players have been with the club for 3-5 years.  The 91 Boys and 94-99 Boys Blue teams are all among the top teams in their age groups in the state.  Although Waza FC has been known in the past as a strong "boys" club, a recent Waza FC commitment to focus on building strong youth girls’ teams is bringing successful results.

One of the goals of Waza FC is to continue to bring new players and teams into the club.  Therefore, Waza FC extends the following invitation to all soccer players who are seeking a club that emphasizes dynamic technique training and strong player development:

Come be part of one of the fastest growing, quality clubs in Michigan.
Don't be surprised if you hear our club chant:  Waza Waza Woo Woo...

Developing today's youth soccer players...  Preparing tomorrow's young adults!
