Waza FC West announces the start of a new Developmental Training Academy Program for Spring 2008.

The Academy Program is launched with our Mission in mind: 

Waza FC Mission:  Waza FC brings to the soccer community a developmental feeder system for boys and girls.   From developmental; to youth travel leagues; to state premier leagues; to high school; to university or professional levels.   Our focus is on developing the player in every aspect of the game and taking them as high as their talent and desire will allow.  We do this in a unique and multi-cultural family environment.

Developmental Feeder System

The Academy Program allows Waza FC the opportunity to transfer our knowledge of soccer and love of the game to young children.  The Academy Program takes what the kids have learned from Developmental Training and gives them an opportunity to put it into use in games.

2008 Spring Season:

• The season starts April 19th

• The season ends June 7th

• Games are on Saturdays - no games Memorial Day weekend

• All players must wear shin guards and soccer socks

• All players must bring their own ball (see below for age-specific size)

Age Chart:

U4 Teams:

• coed teams

• game format is 4 vs. 4

• maximum roster size is 6

• 1/2 practice 1/2 game on Saturdays

• Games are played at Jaycee Park in Livonia

• No score is kept; emphasis is on fun and skill development

• Cost $265, fee includes:
   

  • game shirt

  • practice shirt

  • Developmental Training on Wednesday's

  • coaching fee

U5 Teams:

• coed teams

• game format is 5 vs. 5

• maximum roster size is 8

• 1/2 practice 1/2 game on Saturdays

• Games are played at Jaycee Park in Livonia

• No score is kept; emphasis is on fun and skill development

• Cost $265, fee includes:
   

  • game shirt

  • practice shirt

  • Developmental Training on Wednesday's

  • coaching fee

U6 Teams:

• coed teams

• game format is 5 vs. 5

• maximum roster size is 8

• 1/2 practice 1/2 game on Saturdays

• Games are played at Jaycee Park in Livonia

• No score is kept; emphasis is on fun and skill development

• Cost $265, fee includes:

  • Developmental Training on Wednesday's

U7 Teams:

• coed teams

• game format is 6 vs. 6

• maximum roster size is 11

• 1 hour game on Saturdays

• Games are played at Jaycee Park in Livonia

• Cost $265, fee includes
   

  • game shirt

  • practice shirt

  • Developmental Training on Wednesday's

  • coaching fee

U8 and U9 Teams:

• separate boys and girls teams

• games are 6 vs. 6

• game will be played on weekends

• maximum roster size is 11

• all players receive uniform (jersey, shorts & socks)

• Developmental Training on Wednesday's

• Teams will be in the Livonia YMCA Recreational League or a travel league called Western Suburban Soccer League (WSSL)

• YMCA Teams:

• Games are played at Jaycee Park in Livonia

• Cost is $325, fee includes: uniform (shirt, shorts, socks), referee fees, coaching fee, league fee

• WSSL Teams:

• Home games are at Bryant Field in Livonia.  Away games are in the surrounding Detroit western suburban area (Farmington, Novi, Northville, Plymouth, etc.).  Game schedule to be determined by WSSL.

• Cost is $325, fee includes: uniform (shirt, shorts, socks), referee fees, coaching fee, league fee
